Tradition, science, and productivity in the heart of the Pantanal.
The Sustainable Pantanal Farm (FPS) is an initiative that combines tradition and innovation in one of the richest biomes on the planet.
A model that strengthens livestock farming in the Pantanal region, values local culture, and shows that it is possible to produce efficiently while conserving what the Pantanal values most: its natural balance and biodiversity.
Created in 2019, FPS started by serving 15 properties and today monitors 80 farms, totaling almost 400,000 hectares in the biome.
GOAL OF 1 MILLION HECTARES BY 2027 — with the support of new partners and investors who believe in responsible production.

The Pantanal needs
from the Pantaneiro.
Without the Pantaneiro, the Pantanal loses its soul.
FPS is the only program based on 56 scientifically validated indicators, both nationally and internationally, that works directly with the true guardians of the Pantanal: the owners of the Pantanal properties.
More than a program, FPS is a bridge between production, science, public policy, and the market—generating proven economic, social, and environmental results.
Thanks to the collaboration of institutions, the program has already:
It subsidized the Pantanal Law.
(Law 11.861/2022);
Supports the creation of FCO credit lines for retaining female cattle;
It has contributed to discussions on payments for environmental services;
It represents the Pantanal region in international forums and events, such as COP30.

The Pantanal is the most preserved biome in Brazil: 95% of the Pantanal's territory is on private land — and yet, 84.4% of the native vegetation is preserved.
(MapBiomas, 2024).
Greater efficiency, profitability, and security for those who live off the Pantanal.
With FPS, the Pantanal producer has access to technical knowledge, management, planning and representation:
Political and institutional representation
Technical assistance and training
Science and data
Support for the development of the Sustainable Pantanal Farm Program
FPS delivers not only best practices, but also support, technology and recognition — everything the producer needs to continue being a protagonist in the biome.

To produce is to preserve.
The force that keeps the Pantanal alive.
FPS helps keep producers on the farm and livestock in the field — an essential condition for conserving the biome.
Traditional livestock farming, present for over 300 years, is one of the main allies of conservation: Pantanal cattle control vegetation, create space for wildlife, and keep the region's characteristic landscape alive.
Without the Pantanal people, the biome becomes vulnerable to wildfires and neglect.
With it, there is balance, culture, and conservation.

Pantanal: 300 years of low-impact livestock farming — and still the most preserved biome in Brazil.

Fazenda Pantaneira Sustentável is the best path for those who live, work, conserve and love the Pantanal.
